Information we collect

Information you give us directly: your name, email address, and the details you share when you contact us through the website contact form (which asks for name, email, subject, and message), or by phone, text, or email.

Information collected automatically: our Squarespace hosting collects basic website analytics, such as pages visited and general device and browser information, through its built-in analytics cookies.

Confidentiality of investigative information

CLM Investigations handles client information, investigative records, and findings with confidentiality. Investigative findings are provided to the client who retained our services, and are shared with others only when the law permits or the client has authorized it in writing. Florida law restricts licensed investigators from releasing the contents of an investigative file to anyone other than the client, with limited exceptions.

How we use information

We use website inquiry information to respond to you. We use client-provided information to provide investigative services, to communicate with clients about their cases where they have agreed to be contacted, and to meet legal obligations.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you text CLM Investigations first, you agree to receive conversational replies from us about your questions and your case. CLM does not send promotional marketing texts.

You can opt out at any time by texting STOP. For assistance, text HELP or contact us at (904) 779-3691 or info@clm-i.com. Message and data rates may apply. Messaging frequency may vary. We keep a record of opt-out requests, as the carriers require.

No mobile opt-in or text message consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates.

How we obtain consent: you agree to receive texts from CLM Investigations by texting us first, and we reply within that conversation.

Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent personal information. Service providers that run our website, email, phone, billing, case management, and document storage may process information to support our operations, each under their own privacy terms. Website inquiries, client-provided information, investigative records and findings, and text-message consent are handled differently: investigative findings go to the client who retained us, or to others only when the law permits or the client authorizes it in writing, as described above; and text-message consent is never shared. We also share information when the law requires it.

Data retention and security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information entrusted to us, including password-protected accounts. Access to confidential business and investigative information is limited to the people and service providers who need it to conduct business and provide services. We keep paper case records for 7 years and digital records indefinitely, in line with applicable legal requirements, contractual obligations, and legitimate business and investigative recordkeeping needs.

Your choices

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can ask us to correct your contact information by emailing info@clm-i.com or calling (904) 779-3691. Because some information is part of case records or must be kept under legal, contractual, or recordkeeping obligations, deletion requests are evaluated individually rather than granted automatically.
